My husband, who doesn't ride, found staying on the farm very enjoyable and took our 5 month old to see the puppies, miniature ponies, goats, rabbits and chickens every day. These horses have been placed in some of the national championships and their fitness and paces reflect that. I have ridden in different parts of the world, Europe, Africa, South America, the Caribbean and can honestly say these are some of the best kept, well mannered horses I have managed to ride. Marie keeps many breeds of horses on the farm and is an exceptionally experienced rider in many fields such as reining, driving and showing. She made sure we had the perfect horsey getaway. Marie was so warm and friendly and was very accommodating with my request to have a variety of lessons, trail rides and experiences. The saying goes "time flies when you are having fun", well I thought I had only blinked before our week long stay at the farm was over. What a wonderful place to bring a group, a family reunion or just come for a trail ride or to do as I did, just go for a ride with Ronnie and hear all about the wonderful things that they do on this lovely farm. Many events, programs, and tours take place here. World Champion Horses, some of the most beautiful that I've ever seen, thirteen different breeds, rabbits (babies and mommies and daddies,) other dogs that have been rescued, World Champion Mules, Jennies, goats, pot bellied pigs, even a blind horse with a jenny as it's guide. My friend decided that it was a little too cold for her so off we went in Ronnie's four wheeler, accompanied by Buck the Australian Shepard. Maria had told me that Ronnie would be giving us a tour of the farm and he arrived while I was outside taking pictures. I loved the entire process (I'm very hot natured.) Anyway when I awoke the next morning at 0500 I saw that the clouds were gone and the most beautiful moon lit up the landscape all around, so I tried to take pictures, but my little camera isn't quite able to do such things, so I waited until daylight to start my photography. My friend, who is 84 tends to be very cold natured and was unhappy at first because there was not central heat, but once Maria brought in very safe space heaters she relaxed. But Maria zoomed up, in her four wheeler, with several dogs to greet us and get us to our home for the night. We arrived on a very cold and windy night. We are already planning to come again, this time bringing my husband too and we have told all our friends about y'all and they too desire to come as well and were thrilled to know of such a wonderful place. we all felt like we were riding in the proverbial postcard picture and the horses.they were majestic, fun, perfectly matched for my daughters and me (in other words, we fell in love with them!) The whole experience was a complete joy and we just thank you, Clearview Farms, for making yourselves available for people like us to come and escape the busyness of everyday life, and refresh our spirits. It was such a joy to ride around and amongst it and see the contented animals, all happy in their home riding through the fields in the grass with the sun on our backs and the wind blowing. That truly was the most beautiful, loveliest, well-cared for farms I have EVER been to.

Jesse was just such a gracious host and I tell you was hard to leave. I've ridden a lot in my life and have done a lot of trails rides in my home state of NC and I have usually always felt like the people that took us on the trails were bothered by us and didn't like and/or care that we seemed interested in their horses. This was truly one of the first places where we have felt a PART of the farm, and not a bother. He was fun to listen to and he talked to my girls and brought up neat facts about the farms and the various animals.

We so appreciated his attentiveness, his making sure we were happy/content, and his being very careful in picking out the right horses for us and making sure we were comfortable on our beautiful mounts. The first thing was the friendliness of Jesse. We arrived there and I just wanted to share a few things with you. We called and talked to Jesse on the phone and he set us up to come ride. My four daughters and I came to your lovely farm on Memorial Day this week.
